Welcome Home!
Dennis and Dana Calhoun are passionate about Jesus, people and life! Together, they co-pastor Souls Church, a life giving church where our desire and prayer is to see people become fully engaged followers of Jesus.
Dennis got his start in ministry at the age of 13, being involved with worship and music in his Twin Cities youth group. After making a deeper, personal commitment to Christ at a summer youth camp at the age of 15, he got involved more in music, missions and delivering short messages here and there in the Twin Cities before attending Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa immediately following high school.

Did you know...
Dana grew up in Princeton, MN and at the age of 7, a neighbor invited her to a Wednesday night service at this very church , then called “Open Door Alliance Church” on Hwy 95 on Princeton. Over the following years, God continued to touch her life, and at the age of 10, she gave her heart to Jesus Christ.
However, as a teenager, she began to drift away from the Lord, and through a teenage pregnancy and eventually divorce, she found her heart and Jesus again in a big way at the age of 21. She experienced firsthand how God can restore any broken life.
Shortly after returning to Minnesota from Bible College in 1998, Dennis moved to Princeton to serve at a local church doing what he was passionate about – leading worship, serving behind the scenes and helping impact students. It was here he met and married Dana, who grew up in the city of Princeton. The two share many passions together, but absolutely love serving together as Lead Pastors of Souls Church!
Our roles today.
Dennis and Dana’s heart is to lead others to connect with God through passionate worship and to see this generation understand and apply God’s word in their everyday lives through being connected to a life-giving local church. They have partnered with the ARC (Association of Related Churches) for planting life-giving churches throughout the United States. Aside from pastoring, Dennis serves as a certified police chaplain with the Isanti/Cambridge Police Department, as well as serves on the leadership team for Harvest Network.
Both Dennis and Dana are ordained, licensed and credentialed today through Harvest Network International.
Love God, Love People, Love Life.
The Calhoun’s love kayaking and playing baseball/softball in the summer, drinking lots of Starbucks in the winter, shopping, good music, and date nights with one another, friends and family as much as possible! Dennis and Dana reside in the north Twin Cities Metro Area and have one daughter, Jasmine.
